The Home Stretch: Days 6 & 7 of the UltraSimple Diet
Day 6
On the sixth day, I was feeling really, really sick and tired of the shakes, the broth, everything. Can’t wait until I have a bit more variety in what I can eat and drink. I’m also looking forward very much to not drinking this foul lemon juice/olive oil cocktail first thing in the morning. It is truly disgusting, and every time I drink I my whole body just shivers at the first sip.
The day went well, overall, and I was feeling pretty good despite not getting enough sleep the night before. For some reason, despite the UltraBath and the supplements that are supposed to help with sleep, I’m taking hours to drift off.
Day 7
The last day! I’ve made it through the week! I’m really proud of myself.
Still tired though, as I had a hard time falling asleep again. Don’t know what’s causing that.
The good news, though was that my pre-breakfast glucose was even lower than it was on Day 4 — 97! That’s a significant drop from the 120 range where it typically measured before the diet.
I’m also feeling even more clear headed. I guess I didn’t realize how much brain fog I had until now, when it’s not there any more. What a relief!
Stay tuned here for a look back at the week and some information about measurable accomplishments.
